SUSTech Design Lab is mainly responsible for the lab session of the course “Introduction to Machine Design”. The lab session consists of mechanics of machine and mechanical design. Meanwhile, it provides assists for students to complete simple machining tasks of other courses. Currently, our lab has the following devices: laser cutting machine, 3D printers, drilling and milling machine, lathe milling machine, sawing machine, micro CNC, numerical and graphical simulation server and motion design platform.
Mission
Our goal is to help students learn the fundamentals of design and manufacture through experiments using mechanism and motion design platform, 3D printers, laser cutting machine, drilling and milling machine tools and computer simulation.
